GOLDEN STAR CHINESE RESTAURANT / 01-20-09 / 2022 HOURS /

3458 TAYLOR BOULEVARD

NARRATIVE:  One black male entered through the front door and immediately confronted the victim from the opposite side of the counter.  The BM grabbed the cash register and fled through the front door with a different victim chasing him.  BM#1 pulled a handgun and pointed it at this victim.  A witness observed this and saw BM#1 enter a getaway vehicle being operated by BM#2.  This witness followed the car until police arrived.  A short car chase ensued which ended when the getaway vehicle crashed into a shed and car in a driveway. 

SUSPECT #1:  BM / 20-24 / 5'7" - 5'10" / medium build / LSW:  black three-hole ski mask with homemade eyeholes / black short jacket / black pants / black gloves

Suspect 2:James Ronald Chaplin

   M/B  DOB: 06-19-86

   5'9" 140lbs. Jail ID: 492825

On January 27, 2009, James Chaplin and Christopher Reid were arrested and charged with this robbery. Their cases are pending in Jefferson Circuit Court.
